Housed in a heritage building consisting of a row of four Guangzhou-style shophouses, The Pawn is so named because of the Woo Cheong Pawnshop which used to occupy the space back in 1899. Today, The Pawn is a three level dining and pub experience offering modern British cuisine, like roast bone marrow or char-grilled calves liver with truffle mash, in a setting that both preserves the history of the site and breathes new life into the space with elements like graffiti style wallpaper and mismatched chairs.
